Leslie Cooley was born in Plainfield, New Jersey and lived in New York’s Greenwich Village. She worked at the McCall Pattern Company as director of Traffic and Coordination of Art. She then lived in Pforzheim, Germany, Sesimbra, Portugal, and Hornchurch, England.

Ms. Cooley finally settled in the coastal city of Sitges, Spain. This picturesque location was home to the writer, Santiago Rusinol, and reflects the intricacies of regional historical architecture from medieval times to the flowing symbolism of Anatoli Gaudi. This
influence inspired Ms. Cooley to make Sitges her adopted home where she began exhibiting her work. Her drawings of municipal
buildings and private residences have been well received and are present in many private and corporate collections.
Ms. Cooley returned to New Jersey in 1997 before relocating to Spokane, Washington in 2009.
